Streamline Your EASR Submissions with AEL Environment

Commercial or industrial business activities that require groundwater taking or could potentially release pollutants into the air, land, or water, may need to be registered in Ontario on the Environmental Activity and Sector Registry (EASR), overseen by the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP).

AEL Environment helps businesses understand regulatory requirements, determine eligibility, and complete the EASR registration process with confidence to enable businesses to commence, maintain or resume operations.

What is the EASR?

The EASR is an online registry created by the Ontario government, enabling eligible businesses to register specific low-risk activities instead of going through the longer process of applying for an Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) or a Permit to Take Water (PTTW).

The EASR is intended for operations that use standard, well-understood equipment and processes with predictable environmental impacts, that are generally low-risk and don’t require detailed site-specific reviews.

The MECP maintains lists of industries and activities which are eligible and exempt from EASR registration.

Not sure if your operation qualifies? AEL can assess your business category and activities, advise on your eligibility, and can offer support through the registration process.
