Environmental Testing Services – Groundwater, Soil and Vapour Laboratory Testing
AEL is an established environmental consulting firm that offers complete services related to environmental testing, sampling, risk assessment, and remediation across Canada. Sites may require environmental testing for any number of reasons. When a testing program is required, we will develop and execute an efficient program, designed to address your needs and goals.
Through surface and subsurface soil testing, surface water analysis, groundwater sampling, and vapour analysis, the current environmental condition of your site can be assessed, characterized and documented.
As each site has different characteristics, we tailor the sampling program to your site’s unique history and relevant to your needs. Our team of skilled professionals will be on-site for one or more days to complete sampling. A drilling subcontractor may also be required to reach subsurface samples.
When it comes to quality assurance and quality control procedures, we offer an industry-leading approach to site sampling. Our unique process involves the use of barcodes in descriptive labelling and cross-referencing of samples, helping to eliminate out-of-sequence or erroneous data. This best-practice strategy can significantly reduce the cost of Phase 2 Site Assessment and provide a more accurate understanding of your site.
Through our use of on-site testing, AEL is at the forefront of technology in environmental engineering innovations in Ontario. Using X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF), Ultraviolet Fluorescence (UVF), Gas Chromatography – Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS), and other tools, we can efficiently screen a high quantity of samples within minutes. Screening data supplies our team with a quick and accurate picture of any contamination present on-site. It also creates a better site understanding at a low cost. Select samples are then forwarded for laboratory analysis at a certified CALA laboratory.
Our skilled team of professionals and engineers will evaluate and assess analytical results in the context of client requirements, i.e., regulations and goals pertaining to your individual site. We will provide a comprehensive report summarizing these results in plain, everyday language to enhance your understanding of specific site conditions, and review the outcomes and recommendations with you.
Environmental testing of soil and groundwater can help to identify contamination on-site and delineate contaminated areas, both laterally and vertically. Our environmental testing methods ensure that work is completed in a timely and efficient manner, without incurring unnecessary costs, so that you can achieve individual site goals with minimum fuss and maximum success.
