What is an Record of Site Condition?
Under Ontario Regulation (O. Reg) 153/04, an RSC is required when a property’s use is changing to a more sensitive one (e.g., from commercial to residential). It proves that a site meets the stringent environmental standards set by the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) through documentation and regulation.
An RSC provides a clear assessment of a property’s environmental status, documenting property history, environmental investigations, remedial actions, and other key environmental measures taken on the site.
