Environmental Registration, Permitting and Compliance Support

We offer expert guidance to help clients proactively comply with environmental regulations, permits and approval processes, specific to their business operations including:

  • Environmental Activity and Sector Registry (EASR) Registrations: Prepare and submit registrations for environmental activities that may include dewatering or discharges to ground, water, and air.
  • Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) Applications: Streamline approvals for businesses under Ontario’s environmental regulations for emissions from business and manufacturing activities into land, water sources, and the air.
  • Excess Soil Testing and Soil Registry: Offering excess soil management solutions for compliance with O. Reg. 406/19 including on-site contaminant screening, volume calculations, Soil Characterization Reports (SCRs), Excess Soil Destination Assessment Reports (ESDARs) and more.
  • Records of Site Condition (RSC): Often required for site redevelopment, an RSC verifies that a site meets the province’s stringent environmental standard, O. Reg. 153/04.
  • Permit to Take Water (PTTW): Support obtaining approvals for water-taking activities, enabling sustainable resource management for industrial, construction, and municipal projects.
  • Sanitary Discharge Permits: Submission of formal requests for permits for wastewater discharge to municipal systems.
  • Stormwater Discharge Approvals: Navigate the regulatory approval processes for stormwater management.
  • Consulting with Regulatory Bodies: In our experience, ministries responsible for upholding regulations can be open to discussions about expectations, but it helps to have an expert speak on your behalf to ask the right questions and find areas of flexibility and compromise to best meet the needs of everyone involved.
