Paul Wilson

With more than 30 years of experience in the environmental engineering industry, Paul leads the AEL team as the company Principal. Paul is a Qualified Person under O. Reg. 153/04. His extensive experience with environmental site assessment services makes him a vital part of the AEL team.

Charna Kozole

B.Eng., P.Eng., QP_ESA

Charna is a senior engineer with AEL and is also a qualified person under O. Reg. 153/04. Since 1994, Charna has been working in the environmental engineering industry and has provided engineering and project management expertise on hundreds of site investigations, remediations, and monitoring projects.

Gavin Overbeeke

M.E.Sc., P.Geo., QP_ESA

Gavin completed his Bachelors of Science and Masters of Engineering Science, both with a focus on subsurface contaminant fate, transport and remediation. Gavin has a thorough understanding of hydrogeological processes and is experienced in the collection and interpretation of environmental data.

Daniel Staring

B.A.Sc., P.Eng.

Daniel’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Waterloo has prepared him to support AEL’s work across Phase 1 and Phase 2 ESA’s projects, as well as remedial activity undertakings. Daniel leads AEL’s work in Building Condition Assessments (BCAs), which offer short and long term financial maintenance planning for commercial site owners and operators.

Graham Pope

BES, M.Sc., GISP

Graham offers expertise in GIS and geography, data visualization, aerial surveying and mapping. His experience working in remote Northern regions of the country is an asset and shows his commitment to getting jobs done in adverse conditions. Graham’s meticulous nature is essential to the team in delivering clear, precise data to AEL clients.

Simon Huddart

B.Sc., M.Sc., G.I.T.

With an M.Sc. in Environmental Geoscience from the University of Waterloo, Simon brings a technical mindset and passion for environmental remediation work. As a project manager, he has been involved in all aspects of environmental site assessments from fieldwork to reporting. Simon has extensive experience in designing and conducting hydrologic testing, including analysis using industry-standard modelling software to delineate contamination and track plume movement.

Erin Hunt

B.Sc., EP

Erin provides expertise on many AEL projects, both in field and in office. Her technical experience with regulations, in analyzing data and creating result reports allows AEL projects to move along without delay. In addition, Erin is a Health and Safety Supervisor. Erin’s attention to detail makes her a valuable member of the AEL team.

Lauren Lovelace

BAH, Environmental Scientist

Lauren Lovelace, a dedicated member of the AEL team, holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Environmental Resource Studies from Trent University in Peterborough, ON. Lauren’s comprehensive knowledge, paired with experience completing Phase One and Phase Two ESAs, and support on remedial projects, bring value to AEL and its clients.

With over 10+ years of experience in the financial sector, Irene’s love for developing financial strategies compliments her skill of translating numbers into a story. Lisa Stepanic

Accounts Administration

Lisa’s degree in Executive Office Administration and a wealth of over 33 years of experience in accounting, customer service and sales gives her a well-rounded understanding of how to effectively and efficiently serve AEL clients. Having worked for AEL previously in a report editing role as well as some field work gives her a solid understanding of the industry. Having a detail-oriented personality is a significant asset to AEL and its clients.
